One of the issues addressed in this article is the study of explaining the Function of religion on the basis of virtue, one of the issues that theologians face; That is, despite the opposition to religion, why do people tend to religion, and what is the role and Function of religion for human beings? Various approaches have been proposed to explain this issue. One of the approaches that has been reconsidered is the virtuous approach. In this approach, attention is paid to the characteristics, abilities and personal talents of individuals. According to this approach, virtues are divided into two types: one is rational virtues, and the other is normative and moral virtues. Considering that these virtues are also mentioned in religious teachings. It seems that according to this approach, the Function of religion can also be explained on the basis of "inference through the best explanation". Therefore, in this article, after briefly stating this approach, the issue of the Function of religion has been studied and explained accordingly.

The present article embarks on dealing with the Function of religion in different field. Methodology: In this research, by examining some of the Functions of religion using descriptive-analytical way, the library and software resources have been used Findings: By analyzing and finding the roots of psychological problems and crises such as absurdity and meaninglessness in life, fear of death, escape from loneliness, impatience, confusion and despair, it can be understood that human beings have unlimited and sublime tendencies other than instinctive and physical tendencies. The central tendency among these tendencies is human perfectionism, which is the difference between humans and animals. However, it is impossible to reach this innate and unlimited tendency in the limited material world, and it leads a person to a contradiction and an intellectual and belief impasse. Results: Corresponding to the findings of the research, it can be said that human perfectionism has a central role in the Functions of religion. This desire for human perfection within the framework of the material world becomes the basis and the real cause of human spiritual and psychological problems because the source of perfection is beyond the material world. In fact, only the divine religion can free man from this belief impasse and respond to this original and real need of man. Background and objectives: religion, as a divine gift, has always had an effective and decisive presence in the heart of human societies. In this research, some of the most important Functions of religion in human mental health have been examined, which include giving meaning to life, looking positively at death, saving from the swamp of loneliness, strengthening patience and stability, and the effectiveness of prayer. The question here is: Is there a special relationship between man and religion? What is the role of human perfectionism and its relationship with the Functions of religion?

Introduction: Healthy female sexual Function and satisfaction have important role in feeling healthy and increasing quality of life. religion is of these issues which can affect sexual Function; therefore, this study was conducted with aim to evaluate the relationship between religion and female sexual FunctionMethods: This case - control study was performed on 284 women (142 cases in the group with sexual dysFunction and 142 in the group without sexual dysFunction) at reproductive age referred to heath five centers of Mashhad in 2015. Data was collected through female sexual Function questionnaire (FSFI), Elison religion wellbeing, scaling stress, anxiety and depression (DASS21), and the questionnaire of demographic and obstetric characteristics. Data were analyzed by SPSS software (version 20), and Mann-Whitney, Spearman correlation coefficient, and multiple regression tests.Results: There was significant difference between the group with sexual dysFunction and the group without sexual dysFunction in terms of religion health and sexual Function (p<0.001) and sexual desire sub-domains (p<0.05), arousal (p<0.001), lubrication (p<0.05), orgasm (p<0.05) and satisfaction (p<0.001). But no significant difference was found between religion health and pain (P > 0.05) in sexual relation.Conclusion: There was positive and significant relationship between religion and sexual Function; it means that women with desired sexual Function have higher scores in religion. According to the effect of religion on female sexual Function, it is suggested that for treatment of women with sexual dysFunction, religion dimension be considered despite psychological dimension.

One of the most important discussions about sociology in recent decades is the discussion of the sociology of religion and the role of religion in society, which has been conflicted by Islamic thinkers and non-Islamic sociologists and has become a challenge among sociologists that should be assessed in their opinion. One of the Islamic thinkers in this field is Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hossein Tabatabai. The purpose of writing this article is to study his views in this field. The research method in this article is a library method based on the views of Allameh Tabatabai. The results show that Allameh does not view religion as a worldly phenomenon and, unlike some Western thinkers, does not consider it to be of material and worldly origin, but considers the origin of religion to be divine. He believes that religion has positive Functions and considers the Functions of religion in terms of social, strengthening the cohesion of society, the spirit of righteousness and combating oppression in society, establishing social justice in society, the capacity for civilization, the spirit of hope and continuity of society with regard to religion and society.
